Watch Katy Perry wax philosophic about The Sims 3 Showtime [Video]

There's nothing like one of the biggest stars of this generation to sell your game, and Katy Perry looks to deliver. In fact, she seems way more into her part for The Sims 3 Showtime than your average Madden cover star is in the football simulator. With the star-studded expansion slated to hit shelves March 6, Perry and EA put together a trailer for the game to seal the deal.

The teenage dreamer seems to have had a heavy hand in the production of the trailer, as much the video below is Perry getting all deep and stuff about how the trailer alludes to her own rise from humble beginnings to super stardom. "Part of Me," Perry's newest single, is present throughout, as are lots of pyrotechnics and branding for the new game.

The new expansion pack, players can travel to Starlight Shores to up their performer chops a singer, magician, acrobat or DJ until they become superstars. The Sims 3 Showtime and The Sims 3 Showtime Katy Perry Collector's Edition both hit store shelves tomorrow. Until then, watch Katy Perry all sequined-out for The Sims.
