While developer Night Owl Games may still bicker with Zynga over silly made-up words, that's not stopping Dungeon Overlord from pressing onward. The social game maker announced that Dungeon Overlord will hit iOS and Android as a companion app. While no release date was given, Night Owl will show off the app this year's PAX East event from April 6 to 8.

The Dungeon Overlord companion app will allow players to manage several aspects of their mountain kingdoms remotely, much like players of games like FarmVille and CityVille can through Facebook Mobile. The app will pack an event manager that notifies players of incoming attacks on their dungeons and a crafting system for players to create skill-modifying furniture.

Players will also get to level up their minions, learn new abilities and unlock features through research, as well as collect and share resources between their various dungeons. Night Owl has also pushed a lengthy update to the Facebook game, titled "The Succubus Stories," which adds a whole new story through multiple quests for new players along with daily quests that provide player vs. player opportunities for the game's existing 130,000 players.

"The feedback from fans since launch has been fantastic, but one thing we keep hearing is give us more," Night Owl Games CEO Chris Mayer said in a release. "The Succubus Stories adds a huge amount of content to keep even our most fanatic players occupied. The new quest line for beginners will make it even easier for brand new fans that may have not played this type of hardcore strategy game before." (We'd say an entire companion app is plenty more, no?)
