House of the Day: Michael Jordan's Chicago Home

Updated

If you want to snag basketball superstar Michael Jordan's newly-listed mansion, you better be, well, ballin' because it's on the market for a cool $29 million.

That makes the Chicago Bulls legend's longtime family home in Highland Park, Ill., the highest-priced home on the Chicago real estate market at the moment. And it's no wonder. The stunning compound encompasses over 56,000 square feet and features nine bedrooms, 15 full baths and four half-baths spread across the sprawling main house and connected guesthouse. Plus, you get a pool area, a putting green, a tennis court, a deep-water pond and three climate-controlled garages. Still not impressed? Well, the full-size indoor basketball complex with cushioned hardwood floors and custom sound system may just do it for you...

The listing by the Hall of Famer and six-time NBA champion is a move that our friends at Curbed suspect may be motivated by his recent engagement to supermodel Yvette Prieto and his desire to cast off any prior "matrimonial karma." (He used to live in the home with ex-wife Juanita Vanoy.)
