Rovio is hooked up with a ton of partners for the upcoming release of Angry Birds Space, and it just added Samsung to that exhaustive list. When Angry Birds Space lands on Android, iOS, PC and Mac this March 22, it will also launch on Samsung's new Android-based Galaxy Note smartphone-meets-tablet device ... thing.
Samsung confirmed to PocketGamer that Rovio will create exclusive content for Angry Birds Space on the Galaxy Note. It will be interesting to see how Angry Birds Space plays out on the manufacturer's answer to the growing tablet craze. Flicking angry avian creatures with a stylus rather than your finger could make for an interesting sensation. (Alright, fine, we're just looking to give this silly device some benefit of the doubt here.)
At any rate, between this announcement and launch partners like NASA, Angry Birds Space looks to be the biggest release in the series yet, and the biggest release for Rovio ever. Based on previous performance of Angry Birds, though, we doubt the Finnish developer has much to worry about. Check the nod to every Battlestar Galactica fan's favorite robot in the trailer below:
