Constellation Energy Group (NYS: CEG) reported earnings on Feb. 17. Here are the numbers you need to know.

For the quarter ended Dec. 31 (Q4), Constellation Energy Group whiffed on revenues and missed expectations on earnings per share.
Compared to the prior-year quarter, revenue contracted significantly and GAAP earnings per share dropped to a loss.

Non-GAAP EPS came in at $0.05. The nine earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ averaged $0.64 per share on the same basis. GAAP EPS were -$2.91 for Q4 versus $0.79 per share for the prior-year quarter.

For the quarter, gross margin was 6.1%, 1,260 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was -1.2%, 660 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was -19.8%, 2,440 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $4.11 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.67.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $16.27 billion. The average EPS estimate is $2.43.
The stock has a five-star rating (out of five) at Motley Fool CAPS, with 834 members out of 864 rating the stock outperform, and 30 members rating it underperform.
