When NASA teams up with a developer to promote its upcoming game, you know it's gonna be huge. Angry Birds Space will careen onto iPhones, iPads, Android devices, Macs and PCs on March 22. And Rovio wants people to be able to see the release from space--figuratively speaking, of course. That said, the Finnish game maker has released a goofy new trailer for the game.

In the 30-second teaser, an astronaut tries to teach another space cadet how to correctly launch one of the wingless creatures using the iconic slingshot. Hilarity ensues, but so does something else. Rovio will make an official announcement regarding the upcoming game on March 8. Considering we know a bunch about the game already, who knows what Rovio has up its sleeves.

"In the build up to launch, we're going to make a global online announcement on Thursday March 8th at 10 AM New York time on angrybirds.com/space," Rovio North America GM Andrew Stalbow told Kotaku, "and we hope our fans from around the world will tune in for what will be an out-of-this-world experience." Check the trailer below, and tune back in on March 8 to see just what the Rovio is cookin'.
