Kingdoms of Camelot: Battle for the North

The quest for global domination never rests. Well, at least in social games. (That whole bit ended in the real world a long time ago ... or at least became far more subtle.) Kabam knows this, and wants its players to take the conquest with them wherever they go. One of its most popular Facebook games, Kingdoms of Camelot, has arrived for (a test) battle on iPhone and iPad in the Canadian App Store for free.

Titled "Kingdoms of Camelot: Battle for the North," the game looks a lot like what players would find on Facebook but with a touch interface, push notifications and more. Those two features alone could make managing an empire all the more simple, but with the same focus on strategy. Battle for the North is still in the Canadian App Store testing bed, which is why features like "Revamped Map! Now supports continuous scrolling and tile level toggle" are still popping up in Version 3.0.

Battle for the North is Kabam's first move into mobile social gaming, and follows news that the developer's games will be available on Kongregate, GameStop's web-based gaming platform. While there's no word when Battle for the North will hit U.S. iPhones and iPads, we can't imagine it will take long considering the game is in Version 3.0. Well, if you happen to be "Canadian," you can jump into the fray right now.
