Standex International Beats on EPS But GAAP Results Lag
Standex International (NYS: SXI) reported earnings on Feb. 13. Here are the numbers you need to know.

Non-GAAP EPS came in at $0.94. The two earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $0.88 per share on the same basis. GAAP EPS were -$0.32 for Q1 compared to $0.71 per share for the prior-year quarter.

For the quarter, gross margin was 32.5%, 120 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 9.7%, 20 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was -2.7%, 900 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $170.3 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.80.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $686.1 million. The average EPS estimate is $3.21.
