Finding, Keeping Talented Workers Leads Colo. Firms To Offer Awesome Perks

Silicon Valley with its many high-tech firms is one region well known for its ample -- and sometimes quirky -- work perks. Not be outdone, Boulder, Colo., a city long known for its left-leaning politics and concern for the environment, is also a haven for workers who enjoy all manner of employer-paid extras.

They include high-tech startups such as SendGrid, a provider of corporate email services, which provides workers a refrigerator stocked with beer, and free cookies on Tuesdays. And last month, it flew the entire staff to the Mexican resort town of Cancun for a four-day meeting.
