American Superconductor Catches Analysts Sleeping Again

Non-GAAP EPS came in at -$0.34. The seven earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ averaged -$0.42 per share on the same basis. GAAP EPS were -$0.52 for Q3 compared to -$0.38 per share for the prior-year quarter.

For the quarter, gross margin was -4.8%, 490 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was -124.5%, 5,180 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was -145.5%, 8,800 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $31.0 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is -$0.28.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $77.1 million. The average EPS estimate is -$1.76.
