Statoil ASA (NYS: STO) reported earnings on Feb. 8. Here are the numbers you need to know.

EPS details
Non-GAAP EPS came in at $0.79. The two earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $0.74 per share on the same basis. GAAP EPS of $1.34 for Q4 were 163% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.51 per share.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 45.1%, 210 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 33.2%, 540 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 14.0%, 730 basis points better than the prior-year quarter.

Looking ahead
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $29.53 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.72.

Next year's average estimate for revenue is $115.36 billion. The average EPS estimate is $2.93.
