Ryder System Hits Estimates in Solid Quarter

Non-GAAP EPS came in at $0.97. The 13 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ forecast $0.97 per share on the same basis. GAAP EPS of $0.93 for Q4 were 29% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.72 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 45.5%, 70 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 5.8%, 70 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 3.1%, 30 basis points better than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $1.53 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.58.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $6.41 billion. The average EPS estimate is $4.07.
The stock has a three-star rating (out of five) at Motley Fool CAPS, with 137 members out of 169 rating the stock outperform, and 32 members rating it underperform.
