Riverbed Technology (NAS: RVBD) reported earnings on Jan. 26. Here are the numbers you need to know.

Non-GAAP EPS came in at $0.25. The 34 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ averaged $0.24 per share on the same basis. GAAP EPS of $0.12 for Q4 were 53% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.08 per share.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 75.3%, 130 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 12.7%, 70 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 9.9%, 230 basis points better than the prior-year quarter.

Looking ahead
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $185.6 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.20.

Next year's average estimate for revenue is $859.9 million. The average EPS estimate is $1.04.
