House of the Day: Tuscan Luxury in Heart of Wine Country

Updated

Why escape to California wine country every summer when you can just live there, all year-round? Can't afford it? It's OK, neither can we. But in the meantime, here's another dream-worthy home we can add to our wish lists.

This stunning, $16.95 million Spanish-Mediterranean style mansion in Napa, Calif., is located right in the heart of the Napa Valley and is nestled in some seriously lush greenery. Its grounds (which span a massive 871,200 square feet) feature paved, winding walkways framed by romantic, leafy trees and beautifully manicured bushes -- as if straight out of a vintage Tuscan villa.

Though it's been dubbed a "trophy property," we'd like to argue that it's not just a pretty face. Inside, you'll find six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, three offices, a state-of-the-art kitchen and generous living spaces perfect for entertaining.

And though it also boasts the finest of luxury amenities -- such as an in-home gym, a library, a wine cellar and a sprawling sun room -- with all that gorgeous greenery to explore, we don't know why you'd want to spend a minute inside.

Coldwell Banker has the listing.
