Can This Tablet Save Android?

The following video is part of our "Motley Fool Conversations" series, in which senior technology analyst Eric Bleeker and developer Chris Bledsoe discuss topics across the investing world.

In today's edition, Eric and Chris discuss Asus' new 7-inch Android tablet selling for $249. It's an interesting device because the price point is competitive with Amazon's Kindle Fire, which has made waves for its low selling price while maintaining attractive specifications. Still, Eric says that the tablet is dead on arrival due to its second-quarter launch; by that time, he expects Apple to have unveiled its own quad-core iPad offering and for Amazon to be readying a second-generation Kindle Fire that could include a quad core processor of its own.
