RPM International Increases Sales but Misses Estimates on Earnings

Non-GAAP EPS came in at $0.37. The seven earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $0.39 per share on the same basis. GAAP EPS of $0.38 for Q2 were 1.5% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.38 per share.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 40.3%, 80 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 9.5%, 130 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 5.5%, 40 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.
