Pioneer Trail Winter Injured Critters: Help a fawn and chipmunk warm up!

Updated

To help celebrate the Winter months in Pioneer Trail, Zynga has released a set of two new injured critters in the game. Both of these animals should look familiar, as you'll see them in Holiday Hollow, scattered around the map. One is a Fawn, and the other is a Chipmunk, both of which will appear frozen and light blue when they show up randomly on your Homestead.

To spawn a Fawn, you'll need to chop Oak Trees on your Homestead, while Chipmunks can be found while clearing debris. To warm up the Fawn, you'll need to collect Sugared Leaves by asking your friends to send them to you via a general wall post. Likewise, the Chipmunk needs Candied Walnuts, which can also be earned by simply asking your friends to send them to you.

As of right now, you may need to complete these tree chopping and debris-clearing actions quite a few times before actually receiving either animal, but BigDelicious (a forum moderator on the game's official forums) says that Zynga is aware of the "low drop rate" and will release a fix for it as soon as it can.

In the meantime, why not take some time to catch up on goals on your Homestead or in Holiday Hollow? If you're like me, you've probably got plenty to work on, and who knows? By completing tasks for other goals, you just may trigger one of these cute new critters to show up on your Homestead! Good luck!

Have you received either a Fawn or Chipmunk on your Homestead thus far? Will you go out of your way to make sure you receive multiples of each? Sound off in the comments.
