CityVille Save the Holidays Act 2: Everything you need to know

Last week, we saw the launch of the "Save the Holidays" Christmas event in CityVille, asking you to help Santa get back on his feet in time for the Christmas celebration all over the world (and even in your town). This feature contains three Acts of goals, and while only Act 1 was released initially, now you can complete the three goals of Act 2 as well. Without further ado, here's a look at Act 2, and the prizes you'll win for completing it.

A Shoe In

  • Ask friends for 12 Elf Hats

  • Complete the first Holiday Town Gate

  • Collect 20 Holiday Cheer from Residences


It apparently doesn't matter which homes you collect rent from, as they'll all give you a random chance of receiving a Holiday Cheer. As for the Elf Hats, you'll need to ask for those via a general news post on your wall. Finally, the Holiday Town Gate presents a major hurdle in this year's event (because it all can't be easy). To the left side of your city, you'll now see four land expansion squares decorated in snow and holiday themed items. These squares represent Holiday Town, with the first square being required to complete this goal. Luckily, you don't need to do anything out of the ordinary to expand, other than collect Zoning Permits and add population to your town (two tasks that are time-consuming enough as it is). Once you finish this first goal, you'll receive a Caroling Crew decoration.


Hang on for Deer Life!

  • Ask friends for 16 Reindeer Harnesses

  • Collect 5 Times from Flying Reindeer Stable

  • Collect 10 Holiday Lights from Community Buildings


Again, it doesn't seem to matter which community buildings you collect from, as they'll all give you a chance for Holiday Lights. As for the Reindeer Harnesses, these are earned through another general wall post. Finally, you'll be given the Flying Reindeer Stable as part of this goal. Its base requires eight energy to build, and from there you'll need to hire your friends as crew members until you reach the capacity of 16. Once you finish this goal, you'll receive the Cozy Winter Cottage as a prize.

Party Fowl

  • Ask friends for 20 Ornaments

  • Check into 10 Hotels

  • Harvest 10 Ships to the North Pole


For this shipping task, you're looking for the route called "North Pole Express." A single boat costs 101 coins to send out and brings back 151 Goods after 2.1 days. Needless to say, you'll want to send out those boats as soon as possible to avoid wasting time. For the Hotels, you'll need to visit your friends' cities and click on their Hotels to complete the check-in process, while collecting Ornaments is done through yet another post shared on your wall. When you finish this third goal, you'll receive 10,000 Goods.

When you finish all three of these goals in their entirety (remember, you can freely work on all three at the same time), you'll receive the Reindeer Barn as your ultimate gift for Act 2. Act 3 has yet to be released in the game, but you can be sure we'll bring you a complete guide to completing it, just as soon as we know more.
