FarmVille: Has Zynga abandoned the Raffle Booth?

For the past few months, we've seen the Raffle Booth in FarmVille serve as a way for users to score some functional and even limited edition items for free by asking their friends for Raffle Tickets, and then winning them through random drawings every Sunday night. While three of the five weekly prizes tend to remain the same, the top two prizes normally rotate through a selection of formerly retired or otherwise exclusive items like animals, buildings or decorations. For the last three weeks however, the rotation has stopped, and we've seen the same set of five items being given away time and time again.

For the record, this week's raffle offers you a chance at a fully completed Orchard, three Unwither potions, 5 Love Potions, 3 Fertilize Alls or 10 Special Delivery Boxes. As this has now been the lineup for the better part of a month, it raises the question of whether or not this will become permanent, with Zynga seemingly abandoning the feature in favor of other things.

To be fair, Unwither potions and completely constructed Orchards are still worthwhile prizes, but if users have already purchased Unwither Rings (or simply play often enough to not need the effect), aren't tree farmers or already have enough Orchards on their farms, will the feature even continue to be used by the players themselves? We've reached out to Zynga for comment on the future of the Raffle Booth, and will update this space if and when we hear back.
