CastleVille Kris Kringle Quests: Everything you need to know

Christmas has officially come to CastleVille, as Kris Kringle (Santa) has crash-landed in your kingdom and needs some help getting back on his feet. As promised, we're here with a guide helping you make your way through the new Kris Kringle limited edition quests series. You'll have nine days to finish these quests, which will see you decking your kingdom out for the holidays, and asking for some help from friends. Let's get started.

Snow Fall

  • Place Landing Target

  • Click on the Target

  • Help Kris Kringle Out of the Snow


This first quest is incredibly simple. You'll just need to place a lighted target from your inventory into your kingdom. Don't worry about where to place it, as once you do (and then click on it again), Kris Kringle will dive head-first into the snow pile. Clicking on the stuck Santa allows you to free him, but it also causes the Landing Target to disappear from your land. You'll earn 500 coins and 10 XP for finishing this quest.

Ode to Joy

  • Place Gift Shoppe Foundation

  • Build the Gift Shoppe


The Gift Shoppe is placed in your inventory for free. You'll need to have 10 each of Wood Logs, Stones and Holiday Wreaths to finish its construction, with the Holiday Wreaths coming from individual requests sent to friends. Once it's finished building, Kris will walk over to the building in a very slow animation, so don't panic if your goal quest doesn't automatically complete. Once he arrives, the quest will finish and you'll receive 500 coins, 10 XP and a Candy Cane Pole decoration.


Slipping Up

  • Craft 1 Holiday Slipper in the Gift Shoppe

  • Collect the Holiday Slipper

  • Decorate your Kingdom with 3 Holiday Trio Candles


The Holiday Slipper requires five Wool (from tending Adult Sheep), two Wool Thread (can be crafted inside a Studio) and a Bell, which can be earned by tending animals or helping out in neighboring kingdoms. All three of these items can also be earned by simply asking your friends to send them to you. The Slippers take an hour to craft, so just come back when they're done and collect them to finish off the second task. As for the Holiday Trio Candles, each one costs 2,000 coins in the store. By finishing this quest, you'll receive 750 coins and 15 XP.


Sugar Rush

  • Craft a Fruit Cake in the Gift Shoppe

  • Tend one Neighbor Kitchen

  • Have 3 Cookies


The Cookies come from either fishing or asking your friends to send them to you. The Fruit Cake requires eight Grapes (harvest the Grape crop), 10 bundles of Wheat (harvest the Wheat crop) and two Spices (tend flowers or grass) to craft. You can also earn the Spices by asking your friends to send them to you, or randomly when helping out in neighbors' kingdoms. It takes an hour to craft. Finishing this quest gives you 750 coins, 15XP and a Festive Wreath Lamp.

Sacked Out

  • Craft 5 Presents in your Gift Shoppe

  • Harvest 20 Flax

  • Craft 4 Rope


The Presents are actually the individual items that you can craft within your Gift Shoppe, including the Holiday Slippers and Fruit Cake. They're just placed into a larger category called "Presents," or "Gifts." You might have noticed a new meter running along the top of your in-game menu, containing a large gift bag and a holiday sweater. This will fill as you collect those gifts, with Fruit Cake being worth two Gifts each and Holiday Slippers being worth just one. You'll need five Presents in all to finish this goal, but keep going, as you'll fill that meter and receive the Holiday Sweater reward if you do. As for the Flax, this takes just 30 minutes to grow, and can be used to craft the Rope (five Flax per Rope inside the Workshop). You'll receive 1,000 coins and 20 XP for finishing this quest.

Cheer and Present Danger

  • Use 1 Super Clobber to Banish Thieves

  • Banish 2 Winter Gloom Thieves

  • Have 4 Unicorn Sparkle


The Thieves appear automatically after finishing the previous quest. You can purchase a Super Clobber using 20 Reputation Hearts, which will take away about half of a single thief's life. As for the Unicorn Sparkle, you can earn it by asking your friends to send some to you via a general news item on your wall. Finishing this goal gives you 1,000 coins, 20 XP and two Snowflake Banners.

Over River, Through Woods

  • Craft 5 Presents in your Gift Shoppe

  • Earn 10 Reputation

  • Tend 3 Neighbors' Gift Shops


This quest is another time consuming one, as it requires you to gather ingredients to craft items in the Gift Shoppe. As of this writing, you'll still only have access to the Fruit Cake and Holiday Slippers recipes, so keep asking your friends for Wool Thread, Spices and the like to craft these two items until you have five more. In the meantime, earning reputation is as simple as visiting your friends and completing tasks while there. You'll receive another 1,000 coins and 20 XP for finishing this one.

A Creature is Stirring

  • Have 5 Blueprints

  • Use 2 Hyper Craft

  • Craft 4 Wind-Up Beasties


The Blueprints can be earned by either asking your friends to send them to you, or by randomly receiving them when fishing. The Hyper Crafts can either be crafted in a Workshop or purchased from the store using Reputation Points, and finally, the Wind-Up Beasties are crafted inside the Gift Shoppe using 12 Wood Logs, three Gloom Rat Rails and three Wind-Up Keys each. The Gloom Rat Tails are earned at random when defeating Gloom Rats, and you can also earn Keys by completing tasks around your kingdom, but both of these can much more easily be earned by asking your friends to send them to you. Finishing this quest gives you 1,000 coins, 20 XP and a Gingerbread Man.

So Fluffy

  • Have 30 Cotton

  • Place 5 Pretty Flowers

  • Tend 10 Flowers


The Flowers can be purchased from the store, and just clicking on them after (or any flower you already have growing in your kingdom) will allow you to "tend" them. Meanwhile, the Cotton is just a crop that can be planted and harvested as normal. For finishing this quest, you'll receive 1,500 coins and 30 XP.

Jingle Bell Ruckus

  • Banish 3 Thieves

  • Craft 10 Stuffed Unicorns

  • Consume 5 Fruitcakes


The Thieves will appear in your Kingdom yet again, and need to be banished. You can either use boosts to speed up the process, or click on them one after the other (taking up a lot of energy in the process). The Unicorns are crafted using eight Cotton, four Cotton Thread and four Golden Horns each, and the Fruitcakes might already be in your inventory, if you crafted a ton of those for the earlier quests in this series. This is the final quest in the Kris Kringle quest set, and for finishing it you'll receive 1,750 coins, 35 XP and a Gingerbread Man Snowglobe.
