FarmVille: Plush Christmas Ornaments available to pre-order from Best Buy [UPDATE]

UPDATE: The pre-order website is now available, and we've learned that if you collect all eight animals (and then redeem codes for those animals in-game), you'll receive a free Super Orchard for your farm. In addition, these animals will be $9.99, rather than the $12.95 that we were first told. However, if you purchase a $25 Zynga Game Card at the same time as purchasing one of these plush ornaments, you'll receive that ornament for just $0.99!

Well, they will be anyway. If you've ever wanted to theme your Christmas tree with FarmVille items, or at least farm-themed items, you were probably happy to learn that Zynga and Best Buy will partner this December to offer plush Christmas ornaments available for purchase in (presumably all) Best Buy locations. We learned from a bit of research that these animals will be available in stores starting December 4, but if you want to ensure that you receive an animal, you'll also be able to pre-order them from Best Buy's website.

A new loading screen for FarmVille went into circulation this evening, showing off the eight animals that you'll have a chance to win via these "Barn Boxes," which serve as a sort of Mystery Game, and apparently won't allow you to see which animal you'll receive until you've already purchased and opened it. You'll also apparently receive 10 Farm Cash and a virtual prize for each animal you purchase (likely a virtual version of the plush toy itself). Here are the eight animals that will be available:

• Cow

• Duck

• Goat

• Chicken

• Rabbit

• Horse

• Pig

• Sheep

Of course, each animal is equipped with some sort of winter gear, whether it be a hat, scarf, boots or otherwise, and they're likely to be a pretty hot commodity amongst dedicated players when they launch. While the loading screen advertizes that you can now pre-order them by visiting Best Buy's website, the link isn't active just yet (you're given a "Page Not Found" error if you try to access it). We'll stay on top of things and will let you know when the link is active, along with more about the pre-order process, so keep checking back with us!
