Walmart Offers Facebook Fans Early Black Friday Deals, Kicks Off Super Saturday
For the first time, Walmart (WMT) is offering its Facebook fans an early, exclusive preview of its Black Friday deals, including toys, electronics and apparel. The store is gearing up to kick off the holiday shopping season on Nov. 5. with a Super Saturday savings event.
The retailer will offer shoppers early bargains on electronics, housewares and toys starting at 11 a.m. at stores nationwide. These include Sanyo 42-inch Class LCD TVs for $398, down from $448; Nook Color e-readers for $199, reduced from $249; Xbox 360 250GB Console with Kinect for $399, plus a $50 Walmart gift card; and a Better Homes & Gardens 10-cup Programmable Grind & Brew coffee maker for $39, down from $79.
In the world of toys, Walmart is hawking Raskullz 3D 16-inch bicycles for $77; Transformers Ultimate Optimus Prime for $59.98; Playskool Sesame Street Let's Rock! Elmo for $54.88; and Paper Jamz Pro Mic for $24.88.
On Super Saturday, Walmart stores will also feature a Toyland with kids activities, giveaways, cupcake and balloons.
