CityVille Sneak Peek: Halloween spooks up city with new characters

Seeing what Zynga did for Pioneer Trail with Ghost Town, we get the impression the developer really loves Halloween. (Like ... a lot.) And now we see that love spill over into the most popular Zynga game, CityVille, as the team has revealed how a number of the game's main characters plan to dress up for the way underrated holiday. And--what do you know--it's through a survey.

While CityVille's Sam will don a witch's outfit this year, she and Vlad (appearing as, well, himself) will be joined by Misty and Glinda, two ghosts that look straight out of Casper's world. Rounding out the new characters is Brenda(?) the Bellhop, a spooky version of the character you see in the hotels of CityVille. While we're sure Sam is simply dressing up to fit the part.

The last we heard of Halloween in CityVille was a list of items that will soon hit the game in time for the big event. But before that players were visited by a ghost ship, which has yet to be explained. We're sure more information will be slowly revealed, as Zynga is wont to do, at a later date. Don't worry, you're going to get your fix of all things creepy and crawly in CityVille soon enough. Until then, just enjoy the artwork.
