Rod Blagojevich House Hits Market as $1 Million FSBO

Updated

It's a historic home (though by dubious standards), and it's for sale: It's where federal wiretaps recorded the governor of Illinois discussing how to profit from an appointment to President Obama's old Senate seat. It recently went on the market for just over $1 million -- about half a million less than he was purportedly trying to get from supporters of Jesse Jackson Jr., as a bribe in exchange for his appointment of Jackson to the Senate.

The 13-room vintage house on Sunnyside Avenue in Chicago's Ravenswood Manor neighborhood had been unofficially for sale at least since last summer, when a federal judge ordered its owner, former Gov. Rod Blagojevich, to post the house as collateral for bond after his conviction on multiple corruption charges at his second trial in June.
