Pioneer Trail Ghost Town will be one giant map, a lot like Pioneer Trail

The Ghost Town update for Pioneer Trail will certainly be unprecedented when it comes to seasonal Facebook game updates. But, based on details Zynga just unveiled about the feature, it won't be a far cry from what you've already experience in stock Pioneer Trail. Well, aside from the gruesome-looking palette swap, and considering this is Halloween, that's not really a bad thing.
Ghost Town Mad Scientist
Ghost Town will operate much like Pioneer Trail in that you will have to hire three friends to make up your crew, only this time those roles are much ... darker in their intentions. In replace of the Doctor, Hunter and Carpenter you must find a Mad Scientist, a Sharpshooter and a Shaman to interact with various items on the Ghost Town map to accomplish a lengthy series of Goals.

Zynga also revealed that the Ghost Town feature will take place on a single map, but boy does that map look massive. Players will use a new Energy resource known as Gumptions, and will start off with much more than they did Rations in Pioneer Trail. But a much welcome change comes in that, no matter what item you click on, the relevant crew member will tend to it--no more choosing the crew member and then the item.
Ghost Town Sharpshooter
As for the Charms you've been collecting in preparation for the event, they'll simply be used to purchase new Halloween-themed decoration for your Homestead. Zynga's keeping tight-lipped on when Ghost Town will be released. Honestly, we'd be surprised if you weren't able to hit Ghost Town from the handy World Map within the next week--Hallow's Eve approaches, after all.
