Will Smith's N.Y. Apartment Listed at $19.5 Million

If this NoHo place was good enough for our main man in black, it should be good enough for you, right? "MIB" star Will Smith crashed here while filming "Men in Black III," paying a reported $55,000 a month. The 7,300-square-foot unit is now on the market for $19.5 million.

While we aren't seeing the Grammy-winning and Oscar-nominated Smith rushing to buy it -- he and Jada own multiple properties around Los Angeles and Philadelphia (his hometown) -- it still has its appeal and the seller is clearly not above capitalizing on the unit's brush with celebrity. So friends, indeed, Will Smith slept here. Are you reaching for your wallets yet?

It's one of just eight units in the boutique building and has five bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms. The listing, held by Michael Ives of Sotheby's International, says it has a 90-foot living room with a hand-finished Venetian bronze sliding window wall, and wood-burning fireplaces at both ends. All of the bedrooms have Southern exposure -- no doubt making it easier to wake up a sleepy actor. The master suite includes a wood-burning fireplace, office and balcony. The unit has hardwood floors throughout and plenty of wall space for your art collection. It also has a Balthaup-designed "performance" kitchen, which we believe may top "gourmet" or "chef's" in the Listings Adjective Competition.

"Men in Black III" is due for release next spring. Smith entered the public eye in "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," and moved to film in the late 1990s. "Men in Black" came out in 1997, followed by "Men in Black II" in 2002. He also had the lead role in "Ali" and starred in "The Pursuit of Happyness." In 2007, Newsweek dubbed him the most powerful actor in Hollywood.

And if he wanted to buy it, he surely could have. Then again, just coming off a series of rumors last month that he and Jada were heading to divorce court -- rumors based on the fact that she was photographed not wearing her wedding ring and that were subsequently denied -- maybe there was some truth to the silliness of Ring-gate.
