Jeremy Piven Buys Mike Piazza's Tribeca Home

The New York Post is reporting that "Entourage" star Jeremy Piven (pictured at far left) bought a 6,000-square-foot home in Tribeca that once belonged to Piazza (at left).

The property was listed by Prudential Douglas Elliman for $6.2 million, says The Post, although Piazza's unit first came on the market in 2008 at $6.8 million and was subsequently reduced and then pulled from the listings. The sales price was recorded at $4.58 million, which is hardly a home run.

Piven, who plays hard-charging Hollywood agent Ari Gold on the popular HBO show, is a fixture around Malibu, Calif., where he has owned a home for years. He has been known to be actively looking to buy in Manhattan for some time now. For awhile, he "road-tested" some properties -- living rent free in exchange for publicly promoting the development. Nice work if you can get it.
