Fast food chain Chick-fil-A is giving away free breakfast entrées to customers who make an online reservation.

To participate in the promotion, which runs from September 6 to 10, customers should go to chick-fil-aforbreakfast.com. There, they can find a participating restaurant near them and reserve the menu item of their choice, as well as the time they plan to pick it up (between 6:30 and 10:30 am).

Available entrées include: Chick-fil-A Chicken Biscuit; Chick-fil-A Spicy Chicken Biscuit; Sausage Biscuit; Chick-fil-A Chick-n-Minis (3-count); Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit; Chicken, Egg & Cheese on Sunflower Multigrain Bagel; Chicken Breakfast Burrito; Sausage Breakfast Burrito; and Multigrain Oatmeal.

A Chick-fil-A spokesperson told The Christian Postthe promotion was partially inspired by the Christian values that guide the chain: "We have a spirit of generosity... We do guide a lot of business decisions on faith-based principles." The Post also reports that the promotional website crashed because of overwhelming traffic after news of the free meal was announced. Sign of Chick-fil-A's divinely sanctioned popularity, or mark of our continuing economic hardship?

Meanwhile, the scolds at CBSNews point out that a free Chick-fil-A breakfast "comes with a nutritional cost," advising readers to opt for the oatmeal. Obviously, they're not concerned with getting the most free calories possible.
