Brad Pitt Lists Malibu Beachfront Home

Superstar Brad Pitt has put his Malibu oceanfront home into the MLS at $13.375 million -- a far cry from the pocket listing price of $18 million that's been bandied about for the past two years. It must be nice to be able to purge your real estate portfolio the way one periodically goes through the closet, getting rid of properties that either no longer fit or you are just not using much.

Pitt and wife Angelina Jolie and their ever-expanding pack of kids live primarily at their Chateau Miraval, an 880-acre spread in the south of France, but own properties, well, pretty much everywhere, including Los Angeles. Pitt is an architecture buff who likes to buy and restore homes. An expensive hobby, even in this market.

The place he is selling is one that he picked up in 2005 (kind of post-Jennifer Aniston and pre-Angelina) for $8,410,080, according to public records. (By the way, we love the odd price amount; it shows our boy Brad loves to haggle as much as we do.)
