The 35-acre estate known as Ballyshear abuts an exclusive golf course and at 22,000 square feet with 11 bedrooms and eight baths, should be plenty o' house for hizzoner. It also features one of those winding half-mile driveways that keeps the riff-raff at bay.

This is a house that comes with history, too. It was built in 1910 and designed by F. Burall Hoffman for Charles Blair MacDonald -- creditedin the listing as being the father of modern golf course design. The ivy-covered brick house is surrounded by traditional English gardens designed by F. Olmstead Jr. and Rose Standish Nichols.
