Max the Regular: A Coffee Bar Embraces the Bambino Like a Local

We found our spot. It's smack in the center of town, just past the bend in Panzano, a café/gelateria/pasticceria/bar where Max has been embraced as a local – the surest sign yet that we're settling into a rural, Italian lifestyle. Max receives a hearty, "Maxxxxx" from the café owner and local residents as we enter La Curva each morning before 8. He's like Norm from Cheers now.
