The 5,400-square-foot loft that was the largest apartment for sale in New York City's Financial District at $6.39 million is going to be rented out instead. Asking price: $25,000 a month.

The five-bedroom unit includes a large master suite. It has 12-foot vaulted ceilings, 29 large windows and exposures in three directions. There is a large chef's eat-in kitchen, dining room, great room and open spaces. There are 10 closets and a suburban-style mud room off the elevator entrance.
