Dole Fresh Vegetables recalled 2,880 cases of Dole Italian Blend salad and another 442 cases of Kroger Fresh Selections Italian Style Blend salad from 15 states and Canada after a sample tested positive for listeria monocytogenes contamination, the company said.

So far no one has reported getting sick from eating the salad, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration reported. Listeria can cause a potentially serious infection that may include fever, muscle aches, nausea and diarrhea. Those most at risk for developing an infection include pregnant women and people with weakened immune systems.

Dole said it issued the recall as a precaution after one package of its Italian Blend salad tested positive for listeria during testing by the Ohio Department of Agriculture. The salads were distributed in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Wisconsin as well as in the New Brunswick, Ontario and Quebec provinces of Canada.
