Such are the casualties of war business. Inside Social Games reports that, as a result of Zynga's recent acquisition of DNA Games (its 14th purchase in just a year!), all three of the studio's games will shut down come July 8. The company announced Casino City, Bar World, and Slot City's closure on their respective Facebook pages yesterday.

DNA Games, based in Zynga's hometown of San Francisco, will now focus on new intellectual property for Zynga, according to ISG. AppData shows that only one of the studio's games, Casino City, is pulling in over 1 million monthly players. It's a shame to see any Facebook game go under, but hey, at least the team can focus entirely on that mysterious new IP we'll hear about soon enough.

Are you sad to see these three Facebook games go? What type of new game do you hope DNA Games is working on now? Sound off in the comments. Add Comment.
