Forget those blue little fur balls (Smurfs
I think they're called), because Capcom
is about to release a monstrous iPhone
game called Monster Pet Shop. The company announced that the free mobile social game will be available soon at this year's E3
event in Los Angeles, Pocket Gamer reports
. Players will take over a long-lost relative's pet shop ... only it's filled with colorfully cute monsters rather than dogs, cats and iguanas.
It will be your job to collect, breed, care for and sell the critters of which there are 20 different breeds that make for over 100 unique closet-dwellers. But don't worry, because this is a social game, after all. Players will share monster eggs with one another to help complete their collections, though the game can be played offline as well. Of course, the game will support micro-transactions, though hopefully not in the same way it did with Smurfs Village
. But considering Capcom's track record on the iPhone, we're expecting a monstrous money-maker.
