Sandra Bullock Buys for $23 Million in Beverly Hills Area

Updated

America's sweetheart Sandra Bullock just purchased a Beverly Hills area estate for $22.95 million, reports the Los Angeles Times. The home sits on four acres and was once owned by Hard Rock Cafe co-founder Peter Morton. He sold the property in March 2010 for $15.5 million.

The two-story house has a New England stately feel to it and was built in 1940. Classy, just like its new owner.

There are five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a library, formal living and dining rooms. The 8,100-square-foot home has a swimming pool and pool house and is surrounded by a manicured lawn. The home has views of the city and ocean.

The Oscar-winner -- for "The Blind Side" (2009) -- will star in the upcoming films "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" and "Gravity," which Bullock is currently filming in London with co-star George Clooney.

Kurt Rappaport of the Westside Estate Agency, Beverly Hills, was the listing agent, and Alan Long of Sotheby's International Realty represented Bullock, according to the MLS.
