Actor Dennis Quaid Cuts Price on L.A. Home

Count actor Dennis Quaid among those reducing the asking price on their home. In Quaid's case, the property just took a $3 million shave to $13.9 million, down from the

March list price of $16.9 million. Quaid is eager to sell the 8,400-square-foot French-style equestrian estate in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles so that he and his family can return to his home state of Texas.

Quaid and his wife, Kimberly Buffington, did a top-to-bottom remodel completed in 2008. They purchased the home in 2005 for an undisclosed amount, according to public records. At the time of the purchase, records note a first loan of $3.8 million.

We're not sure how much that make-over cost, but the finished home and an interview with the star of "The Big Easy" were featured in Architectural Digest.
