The Magic Kingdom is expanding to Hawaii -- Oahu, to be exact and Disney is hiring 800 employees over the next six weeks to staff its newest resort, the Aulani. An additional 300 will be brought on to be trained and in place for the projected August 29 opening.
The brand new resort on 21 acres in West Oahu is nearly complete -- most of the major construction is done and finishing work is currently in progress. About 100 employees have already been hired, most in managerial positions. But there are plenty of hourly positions to be filled, for positions in housekeeping, food and beverage, entertainment and more.
