Charlize Theron One Step Closer to Unloading Malibu Home

Actress Charlize Theron may have just gotten lucky. Her Malibu home, which we first wrote about back in December, has gone into escrow. The house was originally listed for $7.5 million, though the actress had recently dropped the price to $6,995,000. No word on the final sale price.

Theron and her former partner, actor Stuart Townsend, first listed the 2,095-square-foot house as a rental, for $30,000 a month. Although substantially remodeled, the beachfront home is one of the original houses on La Costa Beach. It has three bedrooms and a deck facing the ocean and features a hot tub, fire pit, water features and beach toys, according to the listing.
