It's time to ponder that annual question: What do you get the woman who gave you life, changed your diapers, and put up with your toddler tantrums and teenage antics?

With Mother's Day just around the corner, shoppers are expected to spend more on Mom this year than they did in 2010 -- about $148 this year, up nearly 5% from last year, according to a Mother's Day survey by branding and consulting firm Brand Keys.

"That's partly because people are feeling a little better about the economy," Robert Passikoff, founder and president of Brand Keys, told WalletPop.
