Ubisoft said it would reveal more information on the next Assassin's Creed game in May, but it looks as if someone posted the "Publish" button too early on Facebook. The French developer's upcoming installment in the time-traveling, conscious-jumping assassin game will be known as Assassin's Creed: Revelations. We know that thanks to a leak on the franchise's Facebook page that occurred late last week. While Ubisoft quickly removed the News Feed post that allowed fans into the Flash application, it wasn't fast enough to stop screen captures and even at least one user swiping the Flash file, seen here.

Apparently, the sneak peek of the game was supposed to be revealed slowly through an interactive Facebook campaign, something the company has previous experience with. To coincide the release of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Ubisoft released Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy in Nov. of last year. Well, thanks to a Facebook advergame leak, it looks like the cat is out of the bag. Enjoy your first peek at the next game in this immense series, and remember it was your addiction to Facebook games that made it all possible. Well, you can at least justify it that way.
