A valet at Miami's Fontainebleau hotel filed a lawsuit Tuesday against Gloria James who slapped him in the face last week.

James is the mother of basketball star LeBron of the Miami Heat. She was arrested last Thursday for simple battery and disorderly intoxication reports NBC Miami.

Now valet Rockefeller Sorrel is filing suit, claiming that James caused him emotional distress, humiliation and mental anguish, as well as expense of medical care, the loss of ability to earn money and the loss of capacity for enjoyment of life, according to the Miami Herald.

Sorrel is asking for more than $15,000 in damages. He claims that James "verbally abused and threatened" him, "creating a well founded fear in the Plaintiff that violence was imminent," the Herald said.

Reportedly, James requested her vehicle from Sorrel, but then left him waiting with the car running for 30 minutes. At that point Sorrel turned off the car and handed the keys over to the valet cashier. It was then that James got agitated, demanding "where are my f-ing keys?" She then struck him.

James reportedly had bloodshot eyes and a strong odor of alcohol on her breath and was apparently uncooperative with police.

A surveillance video of the incident was released by TMZ.
