Pet Society March Madness

Our March Madness Facebook Game Showdown just got white hot. Playfish is offering folks who vote for Pet Society in the final bracket a sweet 200 coins. Sure, it's basically bribing, but hey, this is politics now, baby. Not to mention we're a bit flattered--blushing even--that Playfish would crave such a title so deeply as to, how you kids say, make it rain on its players. The developer is even giving Restaurant City players a little something, if the game wins the tournament. Playfish posted this message on the game's Facebook page: "Hi Cooks! PETS NEED YOUR HELP! Vote now and if Pet Society wins the games.com Game Showdown then I'll give away FREE Cheese! :D Come on, everyone, let's work together!"

While PopCap has resorted to no such thing with Bejeweled Blitz (to our knowledge), which trails behind Pet Society's nearly 57 percent of the vote with just over 43 percent, it may want to up the ante a bit. Oh, don't look at me like that. You think PopCap is gonna' let the game that toppled CityVille to get beat down by some game with furry pets? So, how's about those free Hearts, guys?

Have you cast your vote yet in the March Madness Facebook Game Showdown? Did you take some free coins for that vote? Who do you think will win in the end? Sound off in the comments. Add Comment.
