recalled about 28,000 Whirly Whip hot chocolate pots after eight consumers were hurt when the handles broke off during use, said the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The CPSC said the company has gotten 28 reports of the handles breaking off the pots, with eight of those consumers reporting minor burns or cuts.

Included in the recall are the Whirly Whip hot chocolate pots sold separately with the item numbers 2981454 or 4986535 or as part of the Whirly Whip hot chocolate pot gift set with the item number 3021714. The item number can be found on the pot's box, below the bar code. The chocolate pot is white porcelain with a red handle. The lid has a red knob and a froth attachment.
