Russell Crowe Buys in Sydney After Multi-Year Search

russell croweRussell Crowe has just plunked down $10 million to purchase a home in Australia, where he spent his youth with his parents who were in the film-set catering business.

The Oscar-winning actor and his wife, Danielle Spencer, reportedly spent about four years searching in Sydney for the right home to raise their two sons, 7-year-old Charlie and 4-year-old Tennyson.
The 1909-built home in the Rose Bay area, is called Te Puke (pronounced ''teh-pook-eh''), which means "hill" in the Maori language. It has 6 bedrooms and about 12,900 square feet, reported the Real Estalker.

The Aussies more than likely would happily throw another shrimp on the barbie for this star of A Beautiful Mind and Gladiator. After all, the Australian postal service last year released a set of postage stamps featuring the New Zealand-born actor in his role as Robin Hood in the Ridley Scott blockbuster and the year before that he was in a stamp collection featuring Oscar winners, along with Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett, and Geoffrey Rush. Crowe's most recent film was 2010's The Next Three Days.
