App Watch: Let iPhone Downloads Be Your Campus Guides

With warm weather around the corner, it's time for many high school students to start touring college campuses and making decisions about their higher education. The process can be overwhelming as students contemplate cost, location and campus life, so here are six apps for under $2 to help find the perfect college fit:

For those who aren't entirely sure where to begin the search, download the American Colleges and Universities app. It provides a database of over 8,000 schools and gives very basic facts, including location, college website and contact information.

For a more in-depth view into a variety of schools, download the iCollege Guide app. Although this one features only 3,000 institutions, it provides many more details, including religious affiliation, student housing facts, financial aid information, estimated student expenses and much more.
