Aftershocks of the disaster in Japan rippled through the Hawaiian tourism industry last week as thousands of Japanese tourists canceled travel plans in the wake of their country's overwhelming devastation.

According to a report from USA Today, Hawaii expected to host an estimated 7.1 million tourists this year, representing roughly 18% of the state's overall tourism and approximately $2 billion dollars in projected revenue.
