Preferred Hotel Group

To honor the Baby Boomer generation, the first of whom hit 65 when the calendar turned to 2011, Preferred Hotel Group members are offering a "Time to Celebrate" package.

When boomers, that is, people born between 1946 and 1964, book a two-night stay at certain hotels now through May 31, 2011, the second night will cost just $65, no matter what the rate is for the first night.

Perhaps speculating that some of the 77 million U.S. boomers may want to cross destinations off their travel bucket lists, more than 100 luxury properties around the world will feature the deal.

So, while the first night at Kitano New York will set travelers back $335, the second will run only $65. Other properties around the globe include Hotel Brinck in Mexico; Aranwa Sacred Valley Hotel & Wellness in Peru; and the Seagate Hotel & Spa in Florida, among others.
