If you're looking for a job any time soon, don't go packing your bags and moving to California. Four of the ten worst cities for employment are located in the Golden State. But the dishonor of the absolute worst metropolitan area for getting hired goes to none other than the New York-Northern New Jersey-Long Island area.

Employment services firm Manpower polled almost 20,000 employers nationwide to find the worst cities for jobs in the spring of 2011, and Forbes.com recently published the list. The good news is that employers in 33 out of 50 states said they had very positive hiring intentions.
