$9 Airfare Los Angeles to Vegas -- Going, Going, Gone?

In celebration of its new route flying from Los Angeles to Vegas, stunt-savvy Spirit Airlines is offering a $9 fare each way from La-La-land to Sin City. Taxes and fees quickly ratchet that price up to $39 round trip, but it's still less than what you'll lose to the slots -- or pay if you want to bring a carry-on bag.

That's right. Carry on. If you pack a bag that needs to go in the overhead, be prepared to pay a $30 fee if you pay in advance on-line, or $45 at the gate. Bags that fit under the seat are free.
